Customize your sidebar and control what each user role sees to create a clean, role-specific workspace experience.

What You Can Do

  • Rename sidebar menu items

  • Change icons or upload custom ones

  • Control menu visibility by role (e.g., Admin, Client, Manager)

  • Simplify the interface for each user type

Who Can Use It?

Only Super Admins and Admins can configure sidebar and access settings.

1. Access Sidebar Settings

  • Go to Workspace Config

  • Click on Sidebar & Access

2. Rename Sidebar Items (Coming Soon)

  • Click Customize

  • Edit menu item names (e.g., rename “Dashboard” to “Overview”)

  • Click Save

💡 Use consistent names your team understands.

3. Customize Icons

  • Click the icon next to a menu item

  • Choose from preset icons or upload a 32x32 image

  • Click Save

4. Role-Based Visibility

  • Click Edit Access

  • Select a role (Client, Admin, Manager, etc.)

  • Toggle visibility for each sidebar item

  • Use Reset to Default if needed

💡 Example: Hide “Invoices” from Clients while keeping it for Admins.

5. Build Role-Specific Sidebars

Mix Customize and Edit Access to create tailored views:

  • Clients: Show only “Dashboard” and “Tasks”

  • Managers: Access to CRM, Projects, Timesheet

  • Super Admin: Full access

🎯 Keeps users focused on what matters to them.

Notes & Best Practices

  • Changes apply instantly after user refresh/login

  • Avoid clutter for clients by hiding internal tools

  • Upload brand icons for a personalized experience

  • Users with multiple roles get the most permissive access
