Time Tracking in Agency Handy

Track work hours in real-time or manually to stay on top of project costs, team productivity, and billable time.

What You Can Do

  • Start, pause, and stop task-based timers

  • Log time manually with precise control

  • View detailed work logs and generate timesheets

  • Track both billable and non-billable time


Who Can Use It?

  • Superadmins, Admins, Managers: Full access

  • Regular Users: Can log time only on tasks they’re assigned to


1. Start Time Tracking

  • Go to Orders → Tasks

  • Open a task and click Start Timer

You’ll see:

  • Task name

  • Real-time tracker

  • Total time logged

💡 Only one timer can run at a time — starting a new one pauses the current.


2. Pause or Stop Timer

  • Click Pause to stop temporarily

  • Click Stop to finalize your log
    (Includes time, duration, optional notes)

⚠️ You can't track time on completed ('Done') tasks unless reopened.


3. Manual Time Entry

Go to the task → click Manual Entry.
You can log time in two ways:

  • Start & End Time

  • Manual Duration (Hours & Minutes)

📝 Add notes if needed.
💡 Multiple users can log time on the same task.


4. View & Manage Work Logs

Click Work Log on a task to see:

  • Date, Start & End time, Duration, Notes

  • Admins can view and delete any entry

  • Users can only delete their own logs


5. Generate Timesheets

Go to Timesheets in the sidebar.
Filter by:

  • Task, Order ID, Assignee, Date Range

Group by:

  • Team Member, Service Name, Task Name

💡 Admins can add manual time logs on behalf of others here.


Notes & Tips

  • Active timers must be stopped before deleting

  • Logs don’t appear in task comments

  • Completed tasks are locked for logging

  • Manual entries can be added even while a timer runs
