What is a Setup Fee?
A setup fee is a one-time or recurring charge added to the start of a subscription. Use it when services need onboarding, configuration, or initial setup time.
Why use it?
Extra Revenue β Add a one-time or recurring fee on top of your subscriptions
Custom Billing β Choose how long to charge the setup fee
Clear Pricing β Setup fee is shown separately during checkout and in invoices
How to Add a Setup Fee
1. Go to Your Services
Log in to Agency Handy
Head to the Services tab
Create or edit a subscription-based service
2. Enable the Setup Fee
Scroll to Setup Fee section
Toggle Enable Setup Fee
Enter the fee amount
Choose how many billing cycles it should apply (1 or more)

Good to Know
Clients see the setup fee during checkout as a separate line
The catalog only shows the subscription price, not the setup fee
Invoices list setup fees and subscription fees separately
For manual invoices, you'll need to add the setup fee manually
Setup fees from proposals apply automatically based on service settings

Subscription: $50/month
